Fire destroys room at Massachusetts State Police museum in Grafton

A two-alarm fire inside the Massachusetts State Police Museum and Learning Center in Grafton Saturday night caused significant damage to the second floor of the building. The first floor, which houses artifacts and exhibits from the Massachusetts State Police's history, sustained water and smoke damage. Officials said Grafton firefighters were able to save artifacts and pictures from being damaged.
The fire was contained in the rear of the second floor, leaving a conference room destroyed.
Firefighters were called to the building located at 44 Worcester St. around 9:30 p.m. when second floor window alarms went off.
