Thanks to a generous Museum donor,  in March 2020 this motorcycle was able to be purchased from a private collector, who had previously displayed it in the American Police Motorcycle Museum in Meredith, New Hampshire.

It can be traced back to 1976 when it was originally restored, revealing the custom French and Electric Blue paint on the gas tank.

This bike is believed to be one of only two Indian's that remain from MSP service of that era.  The other is a 1940 Indian that is owned by a private collector.

The MSPMLC plans to restore the bike to its original paint and configuration over the next few months as per the photos from our archives, and we look forward to sharing that progress with you.
